When I Talk to God, I Talk About You

Who else here is a This Is Us fan? I was extremely devastated when the show ended. I would always hear my mother and aunt discuss the show and how good it was, but I never seemed to have time to watch it myself. It was during maternity leave with my middle son that I was able to binge watch all seasons to catch up to the current season at the time.

I don't watch t.v much, but I became HOOKED! I enjoyed the show throughly and it gave me something to look forward to on Tuesday nights.

Through the show I was introduced to Chrissy Metz who played the character of Kate Pearson, the sister of Kevin and Randall Pearson. On the show we saw Kate battle with her weight, self esteem issues and relationship issues. I really liked her character and enjoyed watching her become a mom on the show.

So, when I heard Chrissy and her boyfriend, Bradley Collins, wrote a children's book about God, I knew I wanted to add it to our library and share the book on my YouTube channel.

When I Talk to God, I Talk About You, highlights the prayers, hopes and dreams parents have for their children. The book informs children that parents talk to God and have a relationship with Him. In the story children find out during the conversations parents have with God, parents talk and pray for their child(ren).

The most important message that stood out to me in this book, is letting children know they can talk to God too! This helps children understand that they can start building their relationship with God now and can talk to Him about anything! They don't have to wait until they're older or feel like they have everything together. Getting to know God at an earlier age can and will benefit children in the long run. Having the understanding that God loves all His children (no matter the age) and wants only the best for His children, should encourage us all to talk to God and build a relationship with Him. God is always longing to hear from us.

In addition, Chrissy and Bradley have also created a lullaby album to accompany the book, Pray for This Day, which features songs performed by Chrissy.
